Internships
We are proud to work with a number of universities to provide training to students through internships at our facilities. We are an agency that allows interns placed with us get exposure to all facets of our work - from attending court proceedings, working with family members and parole officers, observing our programs and one-on-one coaching with residents to participating in staff meetings and in resident review meetings. This integral experience allows interns to fully grasp the extent of intervention needed for our residents and exposes them to a myriad of collaborative agencies that we work with in the community.
We usually have 2-4 interns work with us over the course of a year and have hired many of them to work at Nehemiah after they graduate. We view the internship program as a way to train the future caregivers of the youth we serve.
